December 2021-Our Season of Settlement

DECEMBER-2021

Welcome to our Season of Settlement!

Batteries Included and charged!

Have you ever given a child a toy and later realized you forgot to buy batteries? Remember feeling disheartened as you saw the disappointment on that child’s face and you knew right then that you will do anything to get the much-needed batteries in order to see that child’s face light up with excitement again?

Do you have a need that you want desperately to be filled?

Our Heavenly Father is more than capable of fulfilling that need as He clearly states: “For I know the plans that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you a future and hope, to give you an expected end”(Jeremiah 29:11) So there is hope for the future and no need to despair. His words does not fall to the ground but it accomplishes wherever he sent it. How do we know this? By recounting on how far He has taken us in our lives! Our lives are a continuous testimony of God’s enduring Faithfulness. Cast back to the past and recall how He has rescued you from difficult situations over and over again. Sure, there has been challenges this year but look at where we are today- Alive, in the land of the living! Surely you will agree that the Lord has been good to us. No matter how difficult a situation may be, we know who we can turn to.

“I will lift my eyes to the mountains-where does my help come from? My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth!”(Psalm 121:1-2) He has supplied us with all the batteries we will ever need for this life’s journey, the thing is we just got to remember to recharge it. How do we recharge it? By spending time in His presence.

Do you know that we have been created as Kings and Priests? and what do kings do? They decree! So, I challenge you to decree into that challenging situation, that situation that has kept you awake at night, that situation that have you wondering “When will this be over?” I want to encourage you that God has equipped us to endure hardships, trials, and difficult circumstances because he has overcome the world. Take heart, we are fighting a battle that has already been won!

As we remember the reason for the season and gather around to celebrate with family and friends, our heart should be filled with thanks for He has seen us to the 12th month of the year!

As 2021 slowing winds down, delight in His presence and be recharged with a renewed and hopeful heart, a heart full of wonderful expectations for the upcoming new year because His promises are evergreen. God is always doing something new, revitalizing, rejuvenating and reviving destinies and it is crucial we tap into this divine source. Are you spending sufficient time with the Lord?

God is leading us to a destination far above our expectations for He says, “I know the thoughts I have for you to give you a future and a hope” We need His mercies to propel us into the new year and beyond.

And as the year slowly draws to a close, let us all say: ”The Lord is my strength and my defense; He has become my salvation!”(Psalm 118:4) We never need to worry about not having batteries because we know we have an eternal battery-an advocate , a counselor who understands for He who called us is faithful. The Lord has adequately equipped us to go the full distance as long as we tap into His presence and He will surely recharge us in this Season of Settlement.

Be encouraged. In His Service,

Sis Ngozi Eke
